Each class will have a maximum of 20 children. Classes with 11–20 children will be taught by a qualified teacher and teaching assistant. Classes with 10 or less children will be taught by one qualified teacher.

It is possible that two groups will be at the centre at the same time. The facility has two classrooms and an outdoor play area large enough to cater for this arrangement.

Children will participate in a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities during both half-day and full- day sessions. These will include music, language development, storytelling, free play and gross and fine motor activities.

Three-Year-Olds:
Children may begin classes at Stepping Stones Child Development Centre in the school term in which they turn three. (Please note that children are required to be toilet trained before starting at the centre.) 

If your child turns four as any stage during the year they are attending Stepping Stones, they can be registered for full-day classes (See Four-Year-Olds) 

Four-Year-Olds:
Children may participate in full-day classes at the beginning of the calendar year in which they turn four.  If you prefer your child can be registered in the half day sessions for three and four year olds.

Half-Day Session (2.5 hours) - $27.00
Full-Day Session (5.25 hours) - $50.00

Fees are payable at the beginning of each school term. Refunds are not given for unattended sessions. Public holidays incur no session charge.

Government Child Care Benefit is available if your family is eligible. 

• Many Families will be eligible for some of their out of pocket expenses returned to them via the Child Care Benefit.  Call the Family Assistance Office on 13 61 50 to discuss this or follow this link

Waiting List

Once Classes are Full a waiting list will begin. If a place becomes available it will be offered to the person at the top of the list.   To go on the waiting list choose "Waiting List" as your first preference and then classes you hope to get in as your second and third preferences  (no guarantees made).
